The holiday season is all about festive fun and of course, festive feasts! There’s no better way to enjoy the thrill of the festive season than celebrating with food; here’s our pick of the best Christmas Dining Out options in Hong Kong this year.

Christmas at Upper House

Café Gray Deluxe festive offerings Christmas Eve dinner a – To start your enticing culinary experience, this special menu will include Beetroot-Dill Cured Salmon with Dill Crème Fraiche, Sole and Langoustine Roulade“Veronique” as appetisers, and a choice of Goose a la Royale with Braised Red Cabbage or Madeira Glazed Veal Cheeks with Roasted and Creamed Sunchokes for the main course. Children’s menu and special menus catering to various dietary requirements are also available.

From 5 December 2016 to 2 January 2017, a Festive Afternoon Tea will also be available at Café Gray Deluxe.The tea set will feature a selection of finger sandwiches, pastries and scones, homemade preserves, jams and honey, as well as Devonshire-clotted cream. Mulled wine and eggnog are certainly not to be missed. A line-up of à la carte sandwiches, festive treats and pastries will also be presented for guests to enjoy a warm and memorable

Ciao Chow – Italian Cafeteria

As a nation that loves food, Italians really know how to pull out the stops during yuletide. Ciao Chow has created two festive menus, one for Christmas and one for New Year’s Eve, both full of traditional treats and seasonal ingredients.

The feast starts with pan-fried artichoke served with warm smoked scamorza cheese and roasted cherry tomatoes on vine. Ciao Chow’s Pizza Margherita, prepared according to the standards defined by the Italy-based Authentic Neapolitan Pizza Association, is the only dish of the set also available on the restaurant’s a-la-carte menu. Ciao Chow’s Margherita ingredients all have Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status: San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano and extra-virgin olive oil. As any proper Italian meal can’t do without pasta, pizza is followed by home-made squid ink Tagliolini pasta served with picked brown crab meat and garlic olive oil. A very typical winter dish, braised beef cheeks with mashed potato is served as main dish, an Australian glass-fed beef cheeks braised in red wine sauce, served with mash potato and honey-roasted baby carrots is the main dish. Southern and Northern Italian cuisine are both represented in the menu’s dessert a traditional “Panettone” served with lemon liqueur – limoncello cream and berries.

Tea WG- Christmas tea-infused menu

Complete your feasting this season with Tea WG’s exquisite Christmas menu starting with an indulgent soft shell crab tempura served with a Thai-style cherry tomato salsa, followed by a soup of chorizo and tomato enhanced with notes of Christmas spices; and a choice of main courses including French wild seabass poached in Houjicha and accompanied by scallop millefeuilles and mandarin orange sauce; or a pan-seared 350-day grain-fed Wagyu tenderloin glazed with Pu-Erh Prestige tea-infused sauce, served with potato purée, crispy carrot chips, sautéed kale and garlic cream foam.
